Molds are tools used to make molded objects by welding, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, die-casting or forging molding, smelting, and stamping. This tool is composed of various parts, and different molds are composed of different parts. The processing of the shape of the article is mainly achieved through the change of the physical state of the molded material.
With the development of my country's industrial manufacturing, after decades of accumulation of mold manufacturing technology, mold products have gradually been applied to all walks of life, showing a development trend of simultaneous expansion in vertical and horizontal depth. With the improvement of mold manufacturing technology and increasingly fierce market competition, mold products are gradually being widely used in transportation equipment represented by automobiles, and light industrial products represented by household appliances, consumer electronics and plastic products.
Application of molds in the automotive industry:
The development of the automotive mold industry is closely related to the development of the automotive industry. The steady and rapid development of the automotive industry will greatly promote the development of the automotive mold industry. Moulds are consumables and are used in large quantities. More than 90% of the parts in the automotive industry are formed by moulds. Cold, hot and plastic mould steels are used at the same time. The average consumption of moulds per 10,000 cars is 0.12 tons. Under normal circumstances, it takes about 1,500 molds to manufacture an ordinary car, among which there are nearly 1,000 stamping molds and more than 200 interior trim molds.
Automobile molds account for about 1/3 of the market share of the mold industry. According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, the sales revenue of my country's automobile molds in 2017 was 266.342 billion yuan. Based on this, it is estimated that the size of China's automobile mold market in 2017 will reach 88.8 billion yuan. By 2023, China's automobile production will reach nearly 41.82 million vehicles, with an average annual growth rate of about 6.0%, and the demand for automobile molds will reach about 500 tons.
